Scores for Survey, Cloning and Testing Animals

My survey was about Cloning and Testing animals. To me it was very important because every day millions of Innocent animals are killed or wounded for a new product. I hope that this survey informed you about the hardships for the animals. Just think every day you're stuffed in a cage taken out given a shot etc. Then you suffer until you die. Animals need a home and someone to play with and to have a happy, long life. I'm sure you wouldn't want to be treated like this so why should animals have to be treated like this?
Many people who took my survey seemed concerned about about product testing. Half of the class were informed and knew what happens after they are cloned or tested on. And also the people who knew what happens to them were sad or very upset and they were caring. Many decided that we should still use the products. Which I can understand completely. Most people wanted the testing to stop or be changed. And to lower the number of animals used.
On my Survey it was a tie when I asked what should we do to stop animal testing. It was between Protesting and sending a letter to the government. Surprisingly some people put Shedding blood but to me I don't think that needs to happen. We don't need another Boston Massacre or a Texas Massacre. Everyone was well informed and now I think that sending a letter to Washington D.C would be a wise choice. And if enough people agree that they want to stop animal testing there is a great possibility that we could stop animal testing also cloning.

Ornithology
What I learned in Ornithology is that Owls specifically Great horned Owls. Is that they eat many types of rodents like mice, rats, rabbits etc. Also they eat smaller birds like sparrows, robins, and any bird in the area. Also they eat moles. And small animals in this animal Kingdom. The Owl regurgitates the bones and other parts like fur and feathers. If you wish to see a owl some tips are and that you have to do is....

1. be brave
2.be quiet
3.try not to shine light around. (flashlights)
4.Adapt to coldness or the type of weather your in

Simple Machines

My Thoughts
The things I had not known about certain simple machines is that a baseball bat is a simple machine at first I thought it was a wedge because I possibly thought that it could cut through the ball because it you hit it hard enough the leather sometimes splits. Also I thought that a sink fosset was a gear because I thought that when you turn it gears move inside the handle. I sure did learn a little about simple machines.

My essay about Fireweed

The name of the plant that I'm doing is called fireweed they have four pink petals and four stigmas. Their reddish brown seed capsule splits and bares tiny brown seeds. About 300 to 400 are in a capsule and about 80,000 seeds per plant. The seeds have silky hairs that causes them to spread easily in the wind. When one finds the right growing spot they spread by under ground roots each forming a large patch. They also have unique leaves they have circular veins that don't touch the edge of the leaf, but they form loops and form together inside the outer leaf margins. This makes them easy to identify in all stages of growth.
When they emerge in early spring they can be confused with poisonous lilys but can easily be identified by their unique leaves. Fireweed finds life in wide ranges and where the soil is most to dry.But they are commonly found in disturbed areas such as burned forests, forest clearings, swamps, avalanche areas, river bars, highway and railroads, waste sites and old fields. They grow very well in coniferous forests, mixed forests, aspen park lands, meadows, thickets, and grasslands. Since they live in disturbed areas even following an old oil spill people use it to restore vegetation. They are native to Arctic ecosystems people refer them to ornamental plants we think they are too aggressive for that category.
The climate they live in is warm summers and long cold winters rainfall averages between 13 and 134.7 inches a year. They grow best in full sun with the exception of some shade.
